Krissie's Character Practice

I, Krissie, wanted to practice drawing the character so I could better mimic Jeremy's style. I also attempted drawing the character in different poses.

Storyboards

 An initial shot of the grocery store called "Grocer". This shot was added January 31st, 2017 at the request of the teacher.

 The first shot were Beary is looking up at the shelf and sees the item they one.

Beary attempts to climb the shelf but falls.

Beary lands on the ground with a PLOP!

Beary sits up and angrily shakes their hand in the air.

Beary walks off.

Beary walks back holding a stool.

Beary reaches up to get the item.

Beary has the item and is happy.

Character Design

The character which we have dubbed Beary for now. This is the character design that Jeremy created.

A break down of work

We needed to break down the work for the project so that we know who is in charge of what.

Jeremy is in charge of:
*Animating the climb struggle scene
*The Character Design
*Animating the character getting the item off of the shelf

Krissie is in charge of:
*Background Design
*Animating the angry fist shake & walk
*Initial shot
*End shot
*Recording reference videos of shots

We also we would mimic the style of Kim Possible for the backgrounds were there are no lines but the spaces are distinguished through color changes and that the character will have a lighter color outline instead of a black one.

Thumb Storyboards

This is the 1st version of our thumbs when we were creating the story for our animation. A character looks up at a shelf and sees something they want. They attempt to climb up the shelf and then fall. While on the ground, they angrily shake their hand in the air before stomping off and coming back with a stool. They place the stool down and step on it and are able to get the thing on the shelf. They are happy. End of short.
I, Krissie, purposely wanted to keep the story short as I was told I needed to keep things in scope which would be less then 30 seconds. I was originally in Portfolio Production, but was told I worked to slow to be in that class, so I had to have my schedule changed and was placed in Team Production. So I wanted to make sure the project would be something that could be done by the due date.

Our project is to create an animated short for Team Production class at Art Institute of Atlanta. We've begun working on this project on January 24th, 2017. The finished project is due March 14th, 2017. Our class meets every Tuesday from 8am to 11;40am
